Wondering what to do with all that discard that comes from sustaining a vigorous sourdough starter?  Wonder no more!  We will be exploring the endless possibilities that await you on your sourdough journey.  Cakes, waffles, cookies, pizza crust, and so much more! Don’t stress about sourdough starter taking over your kitchen; there are many tasty ways to keep your culture in check!

Meet your instructor!
Candy Uskoski has lived in the dike lands outside of Clatskanie
for nearly forty years. She has walked a million miles in the mint fields under
the summer sun, the pouring rain, even the dark of night. She has operated all
kinds of farm equipment, homeschooled her kids, worked as an electrical
engineer, and created a nationally distributed confection business. Not much of a traveler, Candy prefers quietly gardening, knitting, and critiquing sunsets from her little green cottage. She fervently believes that the world would be a better place if everyone spent time on their knees pulling weeds. And yes, “Candy” is an aptronym because Candy is rather good at making candy.
