Celebrating National Farmers Week ~ August 2-8th

***National Farmers Market Week is August 2-8***

This Saturday, celebrate Clatskanie’s very own Farmers Market by taking home freshly harvested produce from local growers. This week’s offerings include: beets, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, eggplant, fresh herbs, garlic, green beans, kale, peppers, rainbow chard, scallions, summer squash, tomatoes, vine ripened watermelon and more. Vendors will also offer duck, quail and good ole’ farm fresh eggs, plus beautiful fresh cut flowers.

One of the many local artists will feature an “All About Flowers” display with her paintings, handmade seed packets and jewelry. Local crafters offer a variety of products from homemade goat milk soaps to jewelry for your favorite Duck or Beaver fan; as well as products for farm and garden projects. You’ll find all natural deodorants and salves made from local products too.

Our special produce shopping opportunity for kids, the Power of Produce (POP) program, continues this week. Enjoy a day in the park, live music, good food, and all things Clatskanie.
