We have a new food vendor!  Our very own Sonia and Patrick have gotten licensed and insured to sell food at the Clatskanie Farmers’ Market.  We can expect great things from this food cart as they start planning their menus using fresh, seasonal ingredients purchased from our very own vendors.  I can’t wait!

We are also adding arts/crafts vendors all the time.  Come and check out the new items being sold by all of our local artists!

Our beautiful summer season is progressing well and so is our produce.  On Saturday, June 28, we’ll have some new veggies and eggs:  quail eggs, Walla Walla sweets, new potatoes, golden acre cabbage, spicy radishes, peas, yellow summer squash, flat leaf parsley, many types of greens and starts.  Come and enjoy the bounty!

We will continue to offer baked goods as a fundraiser for the Farmers’ Market.  We will have gluten free chocolate chip cookies, breakfast bars, cinnamon buns and artisan bread.  We are also serving coffee throughout the day at the community booth.

We’ll see you at Cope’s Park on Saturday!

Come celebrate the Summer Solstice at the Clatskanie Farmers’ Market this Saturday, June 21, 2014!  No rain is expected — perfect weather to shop for your fresh picked vegetables, check out the local arts and crafts scene, eat great food and chat with friends.  We have more and more produce coming in as the days get sunnier and warmer.  This week we have honey, garlic, summer squash, beets, new potatoes, green beans, snow peas, green onions and greens of all kinds.  We’ll see you there!

Clatskanie Farmers’ Market Grand Opening 6/14/14 in Cope’s Park, 10:00-2:00

We have 18 Vendors!  City Council President, Ron Puzey, will ring a dinner bell to officially open the Clatskanie Farmers’ Market for business at 10:00 AM sharp.

Bring your family and friends to buy fresh produce, herbs and cut flowers picked on Saturday morning or select from a beautiful assortment of hanging baskets, veggie starts and potted plants.  Browse the arts and crafts booths to find original, one-of-a-kind items for your home, garden or Father’s Day present.  Have Tracy paint something playful on your face, hand or arm — she’s fantastic!  Listen to Victoria’s beautiful voice and guitar as she sings old favorites.  Fly a kite on the lawn by the Market.

Last week at our preview, many of you requested food to be sold at the Farmers’ Market.  We listened!  This week we will have fresh baked scones and tasty, good-for-you breakfast bars and coffee for a morning treat.  Delicious chicken kabobs, vegetable kabobs or polish dogs served with chips, fruit and bottled water will be on the menu for lunch.  All proceeds from the sale of these breakfast and lunch items will go to benefit the Clatskanie Farmers’ Market (we need canopies and tables).

These are some of the great things being sold this week:

sprouts, herbs (basil, lavender,rosemary)
